By creating an account or using FishMap you accept these terms. Please read them carefully. If you don't accept them, you may not use the service.

1. The service

FishMap is a social fishing app where you can log catches, see a map of popular fishing spots, share tips and compete on leaderboards and challenges.

2. Account and age requirement

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate information.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
  • An account is personal and may not be shared.

3. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • publish illegal, hateful, offensive or copyrighted material,
  • impersonate others or manipulate leaderboards with fake catches,
  • scrape the service, abuse APIs or attempt to bypass security measures,
  • upload photos of people without their consent.

4. User-generated content

You retain copyright in photos, tips and other material you upload. By posting content to FishMap you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, copy and adapt the content to the extent required to run and display the service.

You confirm that you have the right to upload the material and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

5. Public catch data and GPS

Catches, GPS coordinates and photos you log are public on the map and leaderboard. Don't post coordinates for spots you want to keep private.

6. Fishing regulations — disclaimer

Information about fishing regulations in the app is for guidance only. It is your responsibility to check and follow the current rules from the relevant authority before fishing. See our regulations page.

7. Suspension and deletion

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time from your profile.

8. Limitation of liability

FishMap is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit or damages arising from fishing carried out based on information from the service. Mandatory consumer protection rules are not affected.

9. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced in-app. Continued use means you accept the new terms.

10. Governing law

Swedish law applies. Disputes are resolved by Swedish general courts, unless mandatory consumer law states otherwise.
